The United States of America, New York City and The Statue of Liberty as The Whore of Babylon.

Is it possible that the Statue of Liberty is the Whore of Babylon mentioned in Revelation chapters 17-18, and could New York City and its port be the new Babylon as described in Revelation chapter 18? The Statue of Liberty has seven spikes on her crown, and the star-shaped Fort Wood, on which the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty is built upon, has eleven points. The Whore of Babylon sits on a scarlet beast which has seven heads and ten horns according to Revelation 17:3. According to Revelation 17:12-13 the ten horns are ten kings who have no kingdom as yet, but when they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast, they will give their power and authority to the beast. Revelation 17:13 says that the ten kings are of one mind. The ten kings and the beast might be represented by the eleven pointed, star-shaped Fort Wood. The beast is the Antichrist according to Revelation chapter 13. The United States of America was once part of the thirteen British Atlantic seaboard colonies of North America from 1607-1783, excluding those former British colonies in what is now a part of Canada.

The ancient city of Babylon, which lay alongside the banks of the Euphrates River, far inland in what is today Iraq, is now in ruins. The author of the Book of Revelation likened the once pagan city of Rome, and its port at Ostia, to Babylon, and the number of the beast, 666, was a code reference to the pagan Roman Emperor Nero (reigned 54-68 A.D.), who was the first Roman Emperor to persecute Jewish and Gentile/ex-pagan-polytheist converts to Christianity. The Book of Revelation was first written sometime during the reign of the pagan Roman Emperor Domitian (i.e. 81-96 A.D.), the second Roman Emperor after Nero to sanction state-sponsored persecution of Christians living in the provinces of the united Roman Empire (lasted from 44/30 B.C. to 395-476/480 A.D.). Rome's port of Ostia on the Mediterranean Sea, located at the mouth of the Tiber River, cannot compete with the amount of trade which the port of New York City handles in a year. New York City is located where the mouth of the Hudson River empties into the Atlantic Ocean. Brussels, the headquarters of the European Union, located in the nation of Belgium, is located far inland, and is connected by a network of canals and rivers to the North Sea via the nation of The Netherlands. In Revelation 18:17-19 the following is written:

17 'For in one hour such great riches came to nothing.' Every shipmaster, all who travel by ship, sailors, and as many as trade on the sea, stood at a distance 18 "And cried out when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, 'What is like this great city?' 19 "They threw dust on their heads and cried out, weeping and wailing, and saying, 'Alas, alas, that great city, in which all who had ships on the sea became rich by her wealth! For in one hour she is made desolate.'

The name Manhattan comes from the Amerindian Lenape tribe's name for the island, Mann-a-hat-ta, which means the "the island of many hills." The Lenape tribe which used to inhabit the area of New York City in pre-colonial times belonged to the Algonquian language family. Ancient pagan Rome originally grew out of shepherds' village hill forts located on seven hills which were located in close proximity to one another during the 700's B.C. See Revelation 17:9, which according to the New King James Version of the Bible is seven mountains, although other Bible versions says seven hills. Many of the hills of Manhattan island have been levelled out, and there has been much land reclamation along the island's waterfronts since Dutch colonial times, although the West Side of Manhattan still has some hilliness, especially in Upper Manhattan, while the East Side has been largely levelled out, with Duffy's Hill in East Harlem being the one notable exception to the East Side's flatness. The area of Upper Manhattan has such hills as Marble Hill, Inwood Hill, Washington Heights, Hudson Heights, Sugar Hill, Hamilton Heights, Morningside Heights, Rose Hill, and Manhattan Valley. Other hills on Manhattan Island are Harlem Heights, Carnegie Hill, Lenox Hill, Hudson Heights (once known as Long Hill), and Sugar Hill. Marble Hill, now physically connected to the Bronx borough, was once a part of Manhattan Island. In 1895, the path of the Harlem River was changed when the Harlem River Ship Canal was dug. Marble Hill became an artificial island until 1914, when the old path of the Harlem River was filled in, physically connecting Marble Hill with the Bronx borough. A judge declared in 1939 that Marble Hill still belonged by law to the Manhattan borough. See Upper Manhattan. Manhattan Island is 13.4 miles (21.6 kilometers) long and 2.3 miles (3.7 kilometers) at its widest near 14th Street. See Manhattan. Before the Dutch began the European urbanization of Manhattan Island in 1625 with the founding of the fortified settlement of New Amsterdam on the island's southern tip, renamed New York after its conquest by the British in 1664, the island of Manhattan had around 570 hills. A website by the name of Incredible Photos of New York City When it Was Covered in Farmland, published by Leanna Garfield on the Internet on January 18, 2018, 9:20 AM, which can be found in Google Search, shows black-and-white photographs dating from the 1800's and early 1900's which records the leveling and excavations of Manhattan island's rolling hills as its farmlands became subjected to urban development. The grid-like roads of Manhattan island began to be formed from 1811 onwards. A British Military Headquarters Map of Manhattan Island produced in 1782 or 1783 during The American War of Independence (1775-1783), shows the many rolling hills which once existed on Manhattan Island. Clement Clarke Moore, (July 15, 1779, New York City, to July 10, 1863, Newport, Rhode Island, United States), who was a writer and American Professor of Oriental and Greek Literature, as well as of Divinity and Biblical Learning at the General Theological Seminary of the Protestant Episcopal Church in New York City, commented in 1818 on the building of the Manhattan Island Grid Master Plan from 1811 onwards as follows:

The Whore of Babylon is described as a harlot who sits on many waters in Revelation 17:1 according to The New King James Version of the Bible, although other versions of the Bible says many rivers rather than many waters. The Hudson, Harlem, East, and Hackensack Rivers empty into New York Harbor, and many rivers in Connecticut also empty into Long Island Sound. The place where the East River meets Long Island Sound is called Hell Gate. On Long Island, there are suburbs of New York City called North Babylon, West Babylon, and Babylon. The Whore of Babylon was the Babylonian goddess of war and sexual lust known as Ishtar or Inanna, whom other Semitic peoples of the ancient pagan or polytheist Middle East knew as Astarte, Ashtoreth, or Asherah, and who was called Aphrodite by the ancient Greeks and Venus by the Romans. The Statue of Liberty itself was modeled on the ancient Roman goddess of Libertas. The web site called Mystery Babylon, authored by Peter D. Goodgame, has written "that when a ship approaches the New York City harbor from the south, in order to properly conform with the shipping lanes it must aim due north straight for a municipality on Long Island named Babylon. A tall water tower on its shoreline is used as a reference point for navigation and when a ship reaches closest to shore before turning west to enter the harbor, the name "Babylon," written on the tower in big bold letters can be easily read." Mr. Goodgame further writes that the Long Island "community of Babylon is a predominantly Jewish community of over 200,000 people. It has an airport and two universities. According to researcher Richard Coombes, author of America, the Babylon, Babylon was so named by early Jewish immigrants because of their study of the scriptures and their belief that Ancient Babylon would be relocated west of the Nile River in Egypt. According to my research this community is the only inhabited and functioning community in the world that is known as "Babylon." Mr. Goodgame goes on to write that "there are more Jews living in New York City than in any other city on Earth, and there are more Jews living in America than in Israel and Russia combined." Goodgame also quotes Jeremiah 51:45, Zechariah 2:7, and Revelation 18:4, where the Bible urges the Jews living in Babylon to flee for their lives before the wicked city is destroyed. This warning in the last days might also refer to Christian true believers, who are the members of the New Israel of the New Testament according to Matthew 21:42-46, Mark 16:15-16, and Romans 9:6-7. Both the Apostle Saint Paul and Jesus Christ said that in the last days before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ as the Parousia, the Jews would convert to Christianity en masse, according to Matthew 23:37-39, Luke 13:34-35, and Romans 9-11 of the New Testament. There is another account of how the community of Babylon on Long Island acquired its name. What is now Babylon Town and Village was originally part of the sea side community of Huntington Town and known as Huntington South, whose foundation began with a British settlement in 1689. When a coherent community grew up in the area by 1803, prominent local citizens sought to adopt a new name. An influential local lady, called Mrs. Conklin, was used to living inland on Long Island in what is now considered Dix Hills and was at unease with the new home site that her grandchildren would be raised in. The bible-reading Mrs. Conklin compared the new hamlet to the biblical city of Babylon and proposed that name in apparent defiance of the area's rather bawdy reputation as a stop-over place for travelers on Long Island's south shore. Her son Nathaniel was appalled by the use of an "unholy" name. The family legend states she replied: "But it will be a new Babylon." The name stuck, despite some effort to change it. The adjacent part of Islip town, an effective extension of Babylon, was originally considered as part of Babylon, or as East Babylon, but today is the hamlet of West Islip. The Whore of Babylon has a golden cup according to Revelation 17:4. The Statue of Liberty's torch is covered with gold. Revelation 17:5 says the following:

"5 And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH."

28 "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 "Take My Yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 "For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

New York State is sometimes called The Empire State, because when George Washington visited the state in 1783 he said that it could one day become the capital of a new empire, and the U.S.A. is today a superpower, with military bases in Europe, The Middle East, East Asia, Australia, and islands in the Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific Oceans. The United States of America has the second largest nuclear arsenal in the world, with that possessed by The Russian Federation coming in a close first. New York State's motto is "Excelsior", which is a Latin word meaning "ever upward". This reminds me of what is written in Revelation 19:1-3:

1 After these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, "Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the Lord our God! 2 "For true and righteous are His judgments, because He has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication; and He has avenged on her the blood of His servants shed by her." 3 Again they said, "Alleluia! Her smoke rises up forever and ever!"

Revelation 18:3 says that the kings of the earth have committed fornication with Babylon, and that the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury. The leaders of the world, especially those of the undeveloped or developing Third World, are heavily in debt to the multinational corporations and conglomerates with headquarters in Wall Street, as well as the United Nations agencies of the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, International Finance Corporation, International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and International Development Association. The merchants of Babylon were the great men of the earth, whom by the sorcery of Babylon all the nations were deceived according to Revelation 18:23. The great influence over the internet, and the mass media and popular entertainment which The United States has over the world, should not be underestimated. Many prominent American TV News broadcasters have their headquarters in New York City. According to the author of the book titled The Founding Fathers of Hollywood: AN EMPIRE OF THEIR OWN: How the Jews Invented Hollywood by Neal Gabler, originally published in The United States in 1988, there are several reasons why second generation American Jews of Eastern European ancestry came to found and dominate the American motion picture or film industry for more than thirty years. Charles Champlin, the arts editor of the Los Angeles Times, wrote the following in reviewing Gabler's book:

'The extraordinary paradox, Gabler points out, is that through their movies, the Jewish patriarchs painted an idealized portrait of an American society to which they were denied access. For Jews, one of the lures of the industry was simply that it let them in. "There were no social barriers in a business as new and faintly disreputable as the movies were in the early years of the Twentieth Century," Gabler says. "There were none of the impediments imposed by loftier professions and more firmly entrenched businesses to keep Jews and other undesirables out."'

According to Revelation Chapters 12 to 13, the Dragon, the Beast, and the False Prophet are the fallen archangel Satan, the Antichrist, and the propagandist for the Antichrist. They are the unholy Trinity which in the future will come to compete with the Holy Trinity of the God Yahweh, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit (John 1:1-5, John 20:19-23, The Acts of the Apostles Chapters One to Two, I Corinthians 3:10-17, Revelation 8:5, Revelation 20:9-15, Luke 3:16-17, and II Peter 3:3-14). II Thessalonians 2:3 says that the Antichrist will arrive when faith in Christianity is at its weakest. Today, in the developed nations of the Western World, the number of atheists, agnostics, and nominal, indifferent, lukewarm Christians as a percentage of a nation's population is increasing with each census. Islam is catching up with Christianity as the largest religion in the world, mainly because of a population explosion in the Muslim world, and including Muslim minorities and immigrants living in the secular nations of the Western World. Jesus said according to Luke 18:7-8 that He will speedily avenge the wrongs done to His saints at His Second Coming as the Parousia or Son of Man, but that when He returns to Earth for the second time, He will find faith in Christianity greatly reduced. The souls of the saints in Heaven who were martyred for their faith in Christ will have to be patient in waiting for the justice which will come with the Second Coming of Christ according to Revelation 6:9-11. According to the Apostle Saint Paul in his epistles to the Galatians 1:6-9 and II Corinthians 11:1-4, those who preach that Jesus is not the Son of God, and is not the God Yahweh Himself in the body of a man as taught in the Gospel of John 1:1-5, are accursed (I Corinthians 12:3), and as written by Saint Paul in II Corinthians 11:13-15, are false apostles in the service of Satan. According to the Muslims, Jesus is the Word of God as taught in the Gospel of John 1:1-5, but is not the Son of God, and is not God Himself in the body of a man. In Islam, Jesus is the second most important prophet of God or Allah in Arabic, after the Prophet Muhammad. For the Jews Jesus and Muhammad are false prophets who failed to fulfill the prophecies concerning the coming of the Messiah in the Old Testament of the Bible, and for the Christians the Jews are antichrists and a synagogue of Satan because they reject Jesus as the Messiah according to I John 2:22-23, I John 4:1-6, Revelation 2:9, Revelation 3:9, Mark 16:15-16, Romans 9:6-7, and Romans 11:22-29. For both Christians and Jews, the Prophet Muhammad is a false prophet who contradicted the teachings of both the Old and New Testaments of the Judeo-Christian Bible, although the Jews also regard Jesus as a false Messiah who failed to fulfill ALL of the prophecies concerning the arrival of the Messiah as is set forth in the Old Testament. Christians believe that Jesus will fulfill ALL of the prophecies concerning the Messiah as is written in the Old Testament at His Second Coming as the Parousia or Son of Man as is written in The New Testament, at some time in the indeterminate future (The Acts of the Apostles 1:6-8), with the time in between being used to spread the Christian Gospel to all the nations of the World through the activities of Christian missionaries. For the Muslims, the Jews, Christians, Zoroastrians (i.e. Palestine was a province of the Ancient Persian Empire from 539-332 B.C.), pagans or polytheists, Gnostics, Deists, atheists, agnostics, Muslim heretics, and secular, libertine Muslims, are destined to go to Hell because they do not believe that Muhammad is the greatest prophet of Allah, as taught in the Quran or Koran, the Sunna or Hadith, and the Sira. Jesus told us that the time of His Second Coming as the Parousia and Son of Man is only known by His Father Yahweh (Matthew 24:36 and Mark 13:32). The last days could be many more generations yet into the future. The end of the world might not be nigh, and may be a long way off into the future, maybe even centuries away. I Thessalonians 5:1-5 says the end of the world will come when people least expect it. The people on Earth who belong to the generation that sees the end of the world will envy those souls who see it from heaven. Revelation 13:7 says that the Antichrist will make war with the saints, and that he will defeat them, after which he will rule over every tribe, tongue, and nation. The false prophet will execute all those who refuse to worship the image of the beast according to Revelation 13:15. Presumably the rapture of the saints into heaven, as prophesied by Jesus Christ, will take place after the great tribulation. Jesus spoke of the great tribulation in Matthew 24:21-22 and Mark 13:19-20, saying that it will be a great time of distress such as the world has never seen, and that if God did not shorten the time for the sake of the saints, no human living on Earth would survive. This might be a reference to a full scale, global nuclear war. When Revelation 8:7 says that all green grass, a third of the trees, and a third of the earth was burned up after the first angel sounded the trumpet, this might mean that the grass became contaminated with nuclear fallout. According to the now deceased physicist, engineer, philosopher, and Roman Catholic priest Bernhard Philberth (1927-2010) in his book called Christian Prophecy and Nuclear Power, "These radiating isotopes (i.e. nuclear fallout) are propagated in the atmosphere and in bodies of water all over the world. Only gradually do they fall down with rain and exchange natural stable atoms in the topmost 10 centimeters of the soil. From there they are absorbed by living green plants through their metabolism. This applies much more to grass, whose roots spread out at a depth of about 10 centimeters, than to trees whose roots penetrate deeper into the soil. Grass is therefore much more subject to the world-wide internal burning by absorbed radioisotopes than the foliage of trees."(4) The second beast mentioned in Revelation 13:11-12, who functions as the spokesman and propagandist for the first beast or the Antichrist, has the ability to make fire come down from heaven onto Earth according to Revelation 13:13. Bernhard Philberth believes this Bible reference might describe nuclear fire radiated from the sky to the ground (5), because atomic weapons are detonated 400 meters above the ground, while hydrogen nuclear weapons are detonated 4000 meters above the ground, in order to increase the radius of their effectiveness. Super hydrogen bombs, detonated at satellite altitudes, would cause entire countries to burn from radiated heat (6). The second beast of the Book of Revelation is said to give breath to the image of the first beast so that it could speak and cause all those who refused to worship it to be killed (Revelation 13:15). This might predict a time in the distant future when the sciences and technologies of robotics, artificial intelligence, cybernetics, spintronics or spintronic computing, quantum computing, optical or photonic computing (I John 1:5, John 1:1-5, John 20:19-23, The Acts of the Apostles Chapters 1 to 2, Matthew 19:26, Mark 10:27, Luke 18:27, II Corinthians 11:13-15, Luke 10:18, Revelation Chapters 12 to 13, and II Thessalonians 2), nanotechnology, holography, genetic engineering and cyborgs, DNA computing, molecular computing, nanoelectronics, and the internet have advanced to such a stage that robots would appear to have the intelligence and souls (i.e. breath) of human beings, although only God can truly give breath or souls to all living things according to Psalm 104:29-30 (7). It will be a long time yet into the future before robots with artificial intelligence come very close to resembling human beings. See No More Sea in Revelation 21:1 of the Bible? in Google Search, a web site which argues that the reference to no more sea in Revelation 21:1 is a parable meaning no more evil in the new heavenly New Jerusalem and Earth, because the sea for the ancient Hebrews was a symbol of chaos, the abyss, hell, and evil, where the fallen archangel Satan, disguised as the sea monsters Leviathan and Rahab, ruled over the souls of the damned with his army of rebel, fallen angels known as the demons. According to Revelation 4:6, there is in heaven a tideless sea of glass, clear as crystal, possibly related to the Biblical passages of Ezekiel 47:1-12, Zechariah 14:1-8, Revelation 22:1-2, and John 7:37-39. The second beast of Revelation 13 will require all people who desire to buy or sell to have the mark or name of the first beast or the Antichrist on their right hand or forehead according to Revelation 13:16-18. This might be a prophecy of the time in the future when everyone is required to have an RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) microchip implant in order to have the permission of the government to both buy and sell for sales tax purposes, and for citizenship or various forms of residency status.

In Revelation 12:3-4 it is written that the fiery red dragon drew a third of the stars of heaven with his tail and threw them to planet Earth. Revelation 12:9 writes that the dragon is in fact Satan, a fallen angel of once high rank in Heaven. Bernhard Philberth writes that "in a strictly physical sense the rockets (i.e. nuclear armed intercontinental ballistic missiles or ICBM's) must follow their trajectory across the sky due to the reactive effect of the combustion of their fuel which gives the appearance of a fiery tail." (8) Intercontinental ballistic missiles or ICBM's when flying at great altitude during the late evening or early morning are not in Earth's shadow and are lit up by the Sun (9). From the Earth at night time, when seen with the naked eye, the ICBM's are like moving stars of the second to fifth magnitude of brightness, seen for one to several minutes, according to the path of their trajectory (10). The number of fixed stars, visible to the naked eye at night time in rural areas, is about 5000 in number. "The number of satellite missiles moving across the sky and descending near their targets would be about one third of that number - i.e. 1000 to 2000 - which is exactly the number of the intercontinental rockets in present military planning (i.e. in 1994)." (11) According to Bernhard Philberth, "low altitude aeroplanes and tanks will retain, and even increase, their fundamental importance in a prolonged nuclear war since nuclear missiles affect them to an astonishingly small degree during short-term tactical operations which might last up to a few months. On the other hand it would take years before the effects of global radioactive contamination were fully felt." (12). According to Bernhard Philberth, the locusts mentioned in Revelation 9 are warplanes who attack military targets on the ground while avoiding civilian refugees who will long for death, while the horses of Revelation 9 are in fact battlefield tanks, because both warplanes and tanks will be heavily involved in the conventional warfare which will follow for several months after the initial nuclear strikes with strategic and tactical nuclear weapons. The smoke from the bottomless pit or abyss (i.e. Hell or the Lake of Fire) where the locusts emerge from are underground bunkers for ground attack war planes and their take off rocket exhausts, and the fallen angel who rules over this pit is called Abaddon in Hebrew (i.e. the Abyss), or Apollyon in Greek (i.e. The Destroyer), i.e. Lucifer/Satan himself, who is also known as Belial, Baalzeebub, and the Devil. Ground attack war planes, although propelled by jet propulsion in the atmosphere, need to be assisted by smoke inducing rockets in their take off from underground bunkers because of the short distance of their runways, and intercontinental, nuclear armed ballistic missiles create a lot of smoke when launched from heavily protected underground silos (13). There is enough uranium in the world's seas to last nearly forever, although extracting uranium from the sea is currently an expensive process with today's technology. The future is unfixed and changeable according to Jeremiah 18:7-10, and the theories of Quantum Physics/Mechanics, along with the loaded dice game of Cosmic Craps and philosophical Compatibilism when it comes to the heavily genetically and environmentally influenced human free will in the theories of Evolution, Natural Selection or survival of the fittest, and random chance genetic mutations of both the favourable and unfavourable kind. God is apparently a cosmic democrat. Perhaps because of genetic and/or environmental predisposition, Hell migh turn out to be an extremely long Purgatory leading to eventual universal salvation or Apokatastasis as taught by the early Christian theologian Origen Adamantius (184/185-253/254 A.D.), provided that God really can do the impossible as He is alleged to have the ability to do as taught by Jesus Christ in the New Testament passages of Matthew 19:16-26, Mark 10:17-27 and Luke 18:18-27, although Satan and his army of rebel, fallen angels would be truly damned without hope, because they have no body, and therefore no genetic predisposition, to plead diminished responsibility for their sins. Bernhard Philberth in his book called Revelation (BAC Australia, Sydney, October 1994, translated from German into English by Waltraud Uhlenbruch), argues that Hell is not eternal, but lasts a "hideously long" time before its inmates are annihilated into oblivion or non-existence, after Hell exhausts its resources with the inevitable end of the Universe (pages 161-162), and as Philberth writes, in accordance with Christ's words to the damned, "I never knew you" (Matthew 7:21-23), which according to Philberth means that God and the saints in Heaven will eventually cease to remember the damned, or at the very least remember them but cease to genuinely care about them (14). God, who exists in an eternal present outside of time, knows what all the possibilities of the ever changing future will be. Time began with the Big Bang explosion from the vacuum energy-foam-fluctuation which led to the beginning of the Universe according to the theories of Special and General Relativity, Quantum Physics/Mechanics, and String Theory. The vacuum energy-foam-fluctuation itself was created by God. According to Philberth in his book called Revelation, all those saved saints in the afterlife who enter the glory of God experience and know in Heaven all of the past, present, and the future, as God Himself experiences and knows these times (15). According to II Timothy 3:1-13, in the last days dangerous times will come for true believers of Christianity, because humanity as a whole will undergo a steep moral and ethical decline. Verse 13 as written by the Apostle Saint Paul says that "evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived," in other words, the evil and fraudulent will lie to each other, as well as to the saints. Saint Paul writes in I Timothy 4:1-5 that in the latter times the Holy Spirit told him that some will leave Christianity for heretical doctrines inspired by deceiving spirits and demons, in other words, inspired by Satan's army of rebel, fallen angels mentioned in Revelation 12:7-9, who have the ability to disguise themselves as angels of light according to Saint Paul in II Corinthians 11:13-15, because the once upon a time heavenly prosecutor, accuser, tester, and tempter Lucifer, an archangel and cherub of light according to Ezekiel 28 and Isaiah 14, before he fell and became known as Satan (Luke 10:18, Revelation 12:7-12), was originally a loyal angel of God before his rebellion. Saint Paul writes that the Antichrist, the supreme false Messiah and Parousia or Son of Man (the second coming of Jesus Christ), will be able to trick many people into believing in his claims by means of a strong delusion which God will send as a bait to ensnare the souls of those who delight in evil and hate what is good according to II Thessalonians 2:1-12, especially those who believe that good motives or ends justify the bad methods or means used to achieve them, and who believe that it is alright to engage in moral compromises by competing outside of the rules (II Timothy 2:5), and to run one's race or lifelong marathon outside the rules (I Corinthians 9:24-27), and that it also alright to repay evil with evil (Romans 12:17-21, I Thessalonians 5:15, I Peter 3:8-9, Matthew 5:38-48, Leviticus 19:18, Deuteronomy 32:35, Proverbs 25:21-22, Hebrews 10:30, and purgatory for the genuinely contrite and repentant but unforgiven by their victims according to Colossians 3:25, I John 5:16-17, John 20:23, Matthew 18:18, Matthew 18:34-35, Matthew 6:14-15, Matthew 5:23-26, Luke 12:58-59, Luke 18:1-14, Luke 12:47-50, I Corinthians 3:10-15, Revelation 8:5, Matthew 13:10-17, Matthew 27:50-54 and The Acts of the Apostles 2:22-36, and Revelation Chapters 19 to 20, especially 20:11-15). When it is written that God will "send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie" (of the Antichrist) in II Thessalonians 2:11, the Hebrew turn of the phrase should be translated as "God will allow the forces of deceit to act." (16). The reason why God will allow the delusion of the Antichrist to exist is because He wishes to test Christians and humanity in general, to find out who are the genuinely righteous, and who are frauds, to separate the wheat from the chaff (Matthew 3:12, Matthew 13:24-30, and Luke 22:31-32), and to find out who are those who are worthy to go to heaven, and those who are worthy to go to Hell. The number of the damned will far outnumber the saved according to the parable of the narrow and broad gate taught by Jesus Christ in Matthew 7:12-14 and Luke 13:24, because Heaven wants quality, not quantity. The Antichrist will sit in the temple of God and declare himself to be God according to II Thessalonians 2:4. Jesus Christ Himself is the God Yahweh in the body of a man, the Word of God made flesh according to John 1:1-5. According to some Christians, the temple of God which the Antichrist will sit in is Saint Peter's Basilica in the Vatican City, an independent nation belonging to the Holy See or in other words the Roman Catholic Church, and that the Antichrist will be the last Pope on Earth. Other Christians say that the temple in which the Antichrist will sit as an evangelical Jewish Christian Zionist (Hebrew Catholics, Messianic Jews, and Jews for Jesus), will be the reconstructed Third Jewish Temple in Jerusalem, built on the Temple Mount on Mount Zion in what used to be East Jerusalem before the 1967 Six Day War between Israel, the then pro-Soviet Egypt, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the then pro-Soviet Syria, the latter of which is pro-Russian to this day. On the Temple Mount is the site of the Wailing Wall, all that remains of the enclosure of the Second Jewish Temple built by King Herod, destroyed by the then pagan or polytheist Romans in 70 A.D. during the Jewish-Roman War of 66-73 A.D. The First Jewish Temple built by King Solomon was destroyed by the pagan or polytheist Babylonians (ancient "central Iraqis") in 587 B.C. On the Temple Mount in Jerusalem is the Islamic Al-Aqsa Mosque or the Dome of the Rock, erected above the foundations of the destroyed first and second Jewish Temples. The Dome of the Rock's construction was completed in 691 or 692 A.D. II Thessalonians 2:6-8 says that the Antichrist will be revealed when He who restrains his coming is taken out of the way. Some Christians believe this refers to the last Pope on Earth, while others say it refers to the Holy Spirit's withdrawal from planet Earth. Then again, it is quite possible that the Antichrist might turn out in the future to be neither the Pope nor the High Priest of the Third Temple of Jerusalem. Neither a Pope nor a pseudo-Jewish Christian High Priest could ever have the mass following and charisma enjoyed by a military dictator and successfull military conqueror, knowing genetically predisposed human nature in times of severe politico-economic crisis and with a weak democratic tradition to fall back on, especially in the era before nuclear deterrence. Bernhard Philberth in his book called Revelation claims that the future man who will come to be revealed as THE Antichrist will be a world ruler of a world government following the religion of Christian Deism (17). Personally, I can't foresee a world government ruled by a world dictator because of the genetically predisposed human tendency towards tribalism, ethnocentrism, and racism since the days of prehistoric ape men during the long course of human evolution. The permanent members of the United Nations Security Council since 1945, all of whom are nuclear weapons powers and members of the victorious allies of World War Two (1939-1945), have veto powers, and often overrule each other in bitter divisions. The permanent members are The United States of America, The Russian Federation, The United Kingdom, France, and mainland China. No United Nations General Secretary has ever been able to form a world government, and probably none ever will. An empire has strong military power but weak loyalty, a city-state has strong loyalty but weak military power, and a nation-state with a large ethnic majority has both strong military power and strong loyalty. As for the claim by Bernhard Philberth that the Antichrist of the end days will be a Christian Deist, it must be remembered that since the 1990's Christianity has been steadily in decline in the prosperous and technologically advanced Western World, although it is gaining converts in the economically and technologically underdeveloped Third World, a world which sharply lacks in economic and military power. II Peter 3:3-14 says that in the last days scoffers will mock Christians at the apparently long delay between Jesus Christ's first and second coming, calling into question His very existence, and deliberately forgetting that God exists in an eternal timeless present moment, where for Him a thousand years are like one day, and one day is like a thousand years.

Revelation 11:8 says that Jerusalem, where Jesus Christ was crucified, is spiritually called Sodom and Egypt. Israel in the Middle East often acts as America's deputy sheriff, weapons and ammunition storage base, intelligence gathering center, and aircraft carrier in the Middle East. Other nations in the Middle East which host American military bases are Turkey, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and The United Arab Emirates. During the Cold War, Israel along with Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Iran, and Hashemite Jordan before the Iranian Islamist Revolution of 1979, were important bulwarks against the pro-Soviet nations of Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Southern Yemen, Afghanistan, Somalia, Ethiopia, Libya, and Algeria. Today, the Sunni Muslim, Arab, and absolutist monarchies and aristocratic oligarchies of Saudi Arabia and the Persian Gulf Arabian states, need American military protection from the Persian, Shiite Muslim, Islamist/clerical Islamo-fascist theocracy which has ruled Iran since 1979, as well as from ultra-fundamentalist, Sunni Muslim terrorist groups such as ISIS and Al-Qaeda who desire to overthrow the Arab sheiks, emirs and kings, and then go on to replace them with a pan-Muslim Caliphate or empire and an Islamist or clerical Islamo-fascist theocracy. When the Americans supplied Israel with arms during the Yom Kippur War of October 1973, after Israel had been attacked by surprise by a Soviet-backed Egyptian and Syrian military alliance, the Arab members of OPEC (Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries), placed an oil embargo on the United States which lasted from October 1973 to March 1974. The Arabs eventually ended the embargo because they needed American military protection from the pro-Soviet Syrians, Iraqis, Southern Yemenis, and Libyans, and because of the loss of revenue from suspended oil sales to the United States. In 1973 about 12% of the petroleum used in the United States came from the Middle East, and about 10% in 2008. The creation of the modern state of Israel was in part the result of British imperial concerns during the First World War, when Britain was still largely dependent on Middle Eastern petroleum imports, a dependence which would last until 1975 when a pipeline linking the United Kingdom to its North Sea oil reserves was completed. The long term motives behind the British policy under the Balfour Declaration of 1917 of allowing Jewish immigration into the League of Nations Mandate of Palestine, were to protect the nearby Suez Canal which formed part of the sea lane to the British colony of India, and the use of Palestine as a terminus for the flow of petroleum from Iraq via Jordan, three former Ottoman Turkish provinces which became British League of Nations mandates in the aftermath of The First World War (1914-1918). The oil flowed along a pipeline that ran from the Iraqi city of Kirkuk, through Jordan, and then onto the Palestinian city of Haifa on the Mediterranean Sea. The Mosul (Iraq) to Haifa (Palestine) oil pipeline operated from 1935 to 1948, and unofficially up until 1954, when the last British military personnel were withdrawn from Egypt, Jordan, and Iraq. The British withdrew their troops from Palestine in 1948, the year when Israel regained its independence. This pipeline supplied much of the petroleum needs for the Allied forces operating in Lebanon, Syria, Greece, North Africa, Italy, and southern France during The Second World War (1939-1945), and the Allied forces during World War Two also carried out military operations in Iraq and Iran. Prime Minister David Lloyd George of the United Kingdom supported the creation of a Jewish homeland in Palestine in 1917 because "it would secure post-war British control of Palestine, which was strategically important as a buffer to Egypt and the Suez Canal" (The Balfour Declaration: its origins and consequences, James Renton, Jewish Quarterly, Spring 2008, Number 209). Palestine would act as a buffer to British controlled Egypt, separating it from the French League of Nations mandates of Lebanon and Syria, territory formerly ruled by the Ottoman Turkish empire. Palestine also connected Egypt with British controlled Jordan, Iraq, and Kuwait. When the Turkish Ottoman Empire joined the Central Powers of Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Bulgaria on October 31, 1914 during the First World War, Great Britain viewed the Turks as a threat towards Britain's line of communications with India via the Suez Canal. The British strategy then aimed at forming a land bridge between the British protectorates of Cyprus and Egypt on the Mediterranean Sea and the British protectorates of Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, The United Arab Emirates, southern Iran, and Oman in the oil-rich Persian Gulf region. In order to create this Middle Eastern land bridge, the Ottoman Turkish provinces of Palestine, Jordan, and Iraq would have to be conquered. These Turkish imperial Arab provinces would enable the rapid deployment of British colonial troops to the Persian Gulf, which at the time were the forward line of defence for British interests in India, and which would also serve as protection from an invasion from the north by Russia. This Middle Eastern land bridge would also serve as an alternative to the Suez Canal, by being able to transport British troops by land from the Mediterranean to the Persian Gulf, and from the Persian Gulf by ship or naval troop transports to India, South-East Asia, East Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and the South-West Pacific islands. After David Lloyd George became Prime Minister of Great Bitain in 1916, the British Jewish Legion was formed to assist General Edmund Allenby in the Sinai and Palestine Campaign of 1915-1918 waged against the Ottoman Turks, a military campaign which was also coordinated with the Great Arab Revolt of 1916-1918 against the Ottoman Turks led by Major Thomas Edward Lawrence, who was more famously known as Lawrence of Arabia. Russian Jews had come to regard the German army as a liberator from the rule of Tsarist and pre-Communist Russia, and the formation of the Jewish Legion was intended to encourage the Jews of the world to participate in The First World War on Britain's side. Before the Cold War of 1945-1991, the Soviet Communists occasionally made alliances of temporary mutual convenience with Eastern European Jewry in their struggle against persecution from at first Tsarist Russia and then Nazi Germany. During the Cold War itself, the Soviets allied with the Arabs against the pro-American Jewish state of Israel. From 1968 until the Iranian Islamist revolution of 1979, Europe obtained a large part of its petroleum supply from the Shah’s Iran, and part of the route of transportation between Iran and Europe ran along the Trans-Israel pipeline, which is also known as the Tipline. The Tipline connects the Israeli Mediterranean ports of Ashdod, Ashkelon, and Haifa with the Israeli port of Eilat on the Gulf of Aqaba, an inlet of the Red Sea. In 2003, the Russians reached a deal with the Israelis whereby they would supply East Asia with Russian petroleum shipped from the Black Sea port of Novorossiysk via the Tipline. The Jews form a large minority of New York City's population, and some of them are prominent in Wall Street, the New York Stock Exchange, and NASDAQ. The reason why a disproportionate minority of Jews were moneylenders and merchants in past times was because they were forbidden from most professions, trades, and landlorships in the Middle Ages, for a Jew was never allowed to be the master of a Christian, or a Muslim (Christianity and antisemitism; see also Antisemitism in Islam; and see References to Jews in the Koran in Jewish Virtual Library, Treatment of Jews in Arab/Islamic Countries, in Jewish Virtual Library, Updated September 2011, and Economic Antisemitism) (18). Palestine or Canaan in the ancient world lay on an important intersection of trade or caravan routes of the Fertile Crescent in the Middle East, linking the ancient civilizations of Egypt and Kush with Phoenicia, Assyria, Babylonia, Sumeria, and Persia. The Fertile Crescent of the Middle East comprised the valleys of the Nile, Jordan, Litani, Orontes, Euphrates, and Tigris rivers, as well as the originally forested mountains, hills, and coastal plains of the Levant. The Levant today consists of the modern nations of Israel, Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria, and the parts of these nations which face the Mediterranean Sea have subtropical dry climates with mild, rainy winters and hot, dry summers, and are covered with such trees as Cedars of Lebanon and Cypresses on the uncleared parts of hills and mountains. Palestine forms a natural land bridge connecting the continents of Africa and Eurasia (Ezekiel 5:5, Ezekiel 38:12, and Daniel 11:34). The reason why the Jews formed such a disproportionate minority of Russian Communists was because they had been persecuted by the Russian Emperors or Tsars, and occasionally massacred under their rule in campaigns known as pogroms. Communism, at least officially, preached ethnic tolerance and the international solidarity of all workers, even if it did not always follow this in practice. See Jewish Bolshevism. During the Russian Civil War of 1918-1920, the non-Communist White faction often carried out massacres against the Russian Jews, and as a result they drove many of the Jews into the arms of the Russian Red, Bolshevik, or Communist faction. The atheistic and anti-capitalist Soviet and Russian Communists however disliked religious and capitalistic Jews. The atheist Karl Marx himself strongly wrote against capitalistic Jews. Karl Marx's father Herschel or Heinrich Marx was a German Jew who converted to the Prussian State Evangelical Lutheran Church, although Heinrich was largely a non-religious man of the Age of Reason or the Enlightenment, who was interested in the philosophers Immanuel Kant and Voltaire, while Marx himself was interested in the philosophers Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel and Ludwig Feuerbach. See Economic Antisemitism and Karl Marx. There are several reasons why Jews are overrepresented in Nobel Prize Awards. According to Noah Efron, "Jewish excellence in science is a phenomenon that flowered in the decades before and, especially, after the Second World War. The 20th century began with massive migrations of Jews, to the United States, to the cities of Russia (and then the Soviet Union), and to Palestine. In each of these new lands, Jews turned to science in great numbers because it promised a way to transcend the old world orders that had for so long excluded most Jews from power, wealth and society. Science, based as it is on values of universality, impartiality and meritocracy, appealed powerfully for Jews seeking to succeed in their new homes. It is not so much that Jews were (smart, bookish) that explains their success in science, as that we wanted to be (equal, accepted, esteemed), and in what sorts of places we wanted to live (liberal and meritocratic societies)." I have heard it said that if people keep repeating the same accusation over and over again when it comes to ethnic and religious stereotypes, then it must be because there is an element of truth to it. The question is, why is there an element of truth? Is it due to genetic predisposition, or more likely is it due to the pressures of historical circumstances to which an ethnic and religious group finds itself in?

The Evangelical branch of the Protestants in the United States, who in 2015 made up about 25% of the American population, support the doctrine of Christian Zionism, which states that the Second Coming of Jesus Christ as the Parousia cannot happen until the Jews are restored to the land of Israel in Palestine from their exile in the Diaspora, and when they convert to Christianity en masse, in order to fulfill Biblical prophecy (Matthew 23:37-39, Luke 13:34-35, Matthew 21:42-46, Romans 9-11, Zechariah 12:10, John 19:31-37, Revelation 1:7, Zechariah 12-14, Ezekiel 38-39, Ezekiel 47-48, Revelation 22, Revelation 4:6, and The Acts of the Apostles 1:6-8). However, Mark 16:15-16 implies that those generations of Jews who died before the Second Coming of Christ without having converted to Christianity will go to Hell. The American Evangelicals tend to vote more for the Republican Party, and less so for the Democrats. They tend to be concentrated in the Bible Belt of the South Eastern United States, which is where the Ku Klux Klan and American Nazi or National Socialist Party has its greatest support. The Ku Klux Klan and their Nazi allies are anti-Black African American, anti-Jewish, anti-Roman Catholic, anti-Communist, anti-Free Mason, and anti-homosexual. They base their beliefs on such biblical passages as I John 2:22-23, I John 4:1-3, The Gospel of John 14:6, Mark 16:15-18, II Thessalonians 2, Revelation 12-13, Revelation 17-18, Galatians 4, Revelation 11:8, Revelation 2:9, Revelation 3:9, Romans 9:6-7, Galatians 3, I Thessalonians 2:14-16, Matthew 27:15-26 (n.b. Luke 23:34), Mark 10:27, Ephesians 2:8-10, Genesis 9:18-29, Genesis 10, I Corinthians 6:9-10, Matthew 10:1-33, Luke 10:1-20, John 18:28-40, John 19:1-16, Matthew 3:7-9, John 8:42-45, and The Acts of the Apostles Chapters 14 and 19. Although it is true that the Romans actually crucified Jesus Christ, they were pagans or polytheists at the time, and they eventually converted to Christianity, unlike the large minority of Jews. It was the unbelieving Jews who chose to set Barabbas rather than Jesus free from crucifixion when given the choice by Pontius Pilate, because they were not convinced that Jesus was the messiah whose coming had been prophesied on a number of occasions in the Old Testament. Matthew 27:24 says that Pontius Pilate agreed to Christ's crucifixion when the Jewish mob who called for it started to riot. John 19:1-16 says that Pilate agreed to Christ's crucifixion after the Jewish mob accused Pilate of committing treason towards the Roman Emperor Tiberius Caesar (reigned 14-37 A.D.), because Jesus had proclaimed Himself to be the spiritual King of the Jews and therefore above Caesar in authority over the Roman province of Judea. If Jesus was crucified on April 3, 33 A.D., when a solar eclipse could be observed from Jerusalem, it might be because Pontius Pilate was afraid of Tiberius Caesar, since Pilate had been appointed from 26-36 A.D. the Procurator of Judea, Samaria, and part of Idumea by Tiberius' Prime Minister and Commander or Prefect of the Praetorian Guard, Lucius Aelius Sejanus, who had been executed in 31 A.D. on the orders of Tiberius for trying to overthrow him as Roman Emperor in a failed attempt at a palace coup d'état or putsch. Probst, author of Demonizing the Jews: Luther and the Protestant Church in Nazi Germany, (Published by Indiana Press in association with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, 2012), a visiting professor of modern European history at Saint Louis University, and a former Charles H. Revson Fellow at the Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, has shown in his book that "a significant number of German theologians and clergy made use of the 1500's writings by Martin Luther on Jews and Judaism to strengthen the racial antisemitism and religious anti-Judaism already present among German Protestants. Drawing attention on major persons, Probst's study shows that a large number of pastors, bishops, and theologians of varying theological and political persuasions used Luther's texts with significant effectiveness in agitating for the creation of a "de-Judaized" version of Christianity. Probst shows that even that part of the Protestant church most critical of Luther's anti-Jewish writings agreed with the antisemitic stereotyping that assisted in justifying early Nazi measures against the Jews." Martin Luther in 1543 published a rabidly anti-Jewish, even anti-Semitic theological treatise called On the Jews and Their Lies, some 65,000 words long, in which Luther in a fit of anger even wrote that Christians were at fault for not slaying the Jews. This is part of what Martin Luther wrote in the conclusion to his treatise On the Jews and Their Lies (1543):

There is no other explanation for this than the one cited earlier from Moses - namely, that God has struck [the Jews] with ‘madness and blindness and confusion of mind.’ (Deuteronomy 28:28) So we are even at fault in not avenging all this innocent blood of our Lord and of the Christians which they shed for three hundred years after the destruction of Jerusalem, and the blood of the children they have shed since then (which still shines forth from their eyes and their skin). We are at fault in not slaying them. (19)

The Holy One said, open for me a door as big as a needle's eye and I will open for you a door through which may enter tents and [camels?].

Should a global nuclear war one day erupt in the future, be it near or distant, as a non-fundamentalist, Trinitarian (John 1:1-5, John 20:19-23, Matthew 18:18, The Acts of the Apostles Chapters 1 to 2, I Corinthians 12:3, and Luke 18:9-14) Christian freethinker, I believe that Jesus would return to Earth for the second time to save us from total annihilation, and to heal the world of radioactive fallout and rid it forever of evil. However, before that happened, the world would suffer great pain and tragedy. Although I believe that the Old and New Testament of the Bible is divinely inspired (II Timothy 3:16-17), I do not believe that it is 100% factually accurate or even 100% morally perfect. God's inspiration has been filtered through the imperfections of prejudiced, fallible, morally flawed, often ignorant and gullible human beings. Many of the books of the Bible were written or re-edited decades, if not centuries after the events they purport to record, and is therefore subject to embellishment, unhistorical myth and legend, and severe exaggeration. Much of the Bible is written in parables and metaphorical, non-literal allegory. Many of the Old and New Testament legends, myths and philosophies were borrowed from the ancient Assyrians, Sumerians, Babylonians, Persians, Phoenicians, Caananites, Aramaeans, Egyptians and Greeks. Jesus never wrote a word of the New Testament. Sometimes the Bible errs and contradicts itself, for example II Kings Chapters 9 to 10, Hosea 1:4-5, Exodus 20:3-6, Deuteronomy 5:7-10, Deuteronomy 24:16, Ezekiel 18, Exodus 25:18-22, Exodus 26:1, Exodus 26:31, Exodus 32, and I Kings 16:29-33.
